Welcome to Dunston
Matilda Dunston Elementary School is a neighborhood school in North Charleston, South Carolina for grades CD4 - 5th. Housed in a state-of-the-art building completed in 2018, Dunston Elementary School is focused on helping all students develop the characteristics of the Profile of the South Carolina Graduate by providing a safe, caring, and academically challenging environment. Each student is provided a personal technology device to use in the classroom to support technology integration, allowing students to learn the necessary technical skills required in the 21st century. Students enjoyed participating in Google Classroom activities, Accelerated Reader, Dreambox, iReady, MyOn, and MacInVia to learn and access information. Each student participates in Art, Music, PE, and Library once a week. Off-site and in-house field trips are encouraged to expose students to the larger community. Annually, Engaging Creative Minds co-teaches art-infused curriculum-based classes. For more information, please do not hesitate to call 843-745-7109.
